Accommodation Broome
Broome is a small township on the northern coast of the Kimberley region of Western Australia. It lies 2,241 kilometres north of Perth or about 2 1/2 hours by air. It’s a little closer to Darwin which is just 1,871 kilometres away or just under 2 hours flying time.
It’s origins are a result of supporting the pearling industry which was the main economic activity in the late 1800’s.
Tourism is the main economic activity now with the area being a major destination for those travelling around Australia by road.
The unique and spectacular local scenery is the major draw card for visitors. Watching the sun set on Cable beach is one of life’s unforgettable experiences.
